16  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In America / Shooting Days on: January 19, 2014, 05:56:15 AM
Is it known how many shooting days this movie had?
17  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In The West / Re: Shooting Schedule on: August 30, 2013, 02:50:59 PM
Thanks. That would be around 65 days of shooting? Even with long days, that is quite good for a 3 hour movie. Or did they shoot more than 5 days a week?

Come on. Bogdonovich nearly directed that movie. I'm sure Scorsese knew Leone's movies.

Personally, I think it is one of his best. The film is the most underrated movie in history, I think.

Is it known how many days it took to shoot this movie?

More info on the schedule would be great (how many days where), but the amout of days is already great info.

We all know the classic archetypical Leone opening. The best two examples are Once Upon a Time in the West and My Name is Nobody: A long sequence with no dialogue.

BUT: do we know other opening sequences in other movies (westers or nonwesterns) that have (remotely) the same feel to it?
