You make some good points. Probably an issue of continuity, although I'd love too see some missing footage if there was any.

I watched the scene again and I don't think there's any missing footage. The music cuts in suddenly but not awkwardly and the guards were likely killed by Indio's men on the way to Indio's cell.

Once Upon A Time In The West / Re: DVD Wooden Box Set w/ Harmonica

Aside from the fancy box, harmonica and OST, is the feature film identical to the that released in the USA?

Thanks for clarifying. Do you know if the CVC DVD of 'Per Qualche Dollaro In Piu' is also the uncut version (e.g. full beating scene, Indio's longer laugh, Manco intro in White Rocks)?

The non-scope shots are from one certain Italian DVD which was released years ago and has long been out of print. In fact I think I don't think I have ever even seen its cover anywhere. As far as I know it contains the full beating scene plus the two other pieces that are cut on all other discs (Clint approaching the saloon and Indio laughing longer). But as mentioned, it's not full 2.35:1, I think it's closer to 2.00:1 or something.

Does anyone have any more info on this DVD? Was it released by CVC? I downloaded the torrent of this unusual Italian release and it is indeed 2.00:1 and includes the full beating scene and the 2 longer scenes already mentioned.

Once Upon A Time In The West / Italian DVD: CVC (2003) vs. Mondo S.E.

I'm new to this forum and have been browsing the info for the past few weeks. This is a fantastic site for someone like me who wants to learn as much as possible about these films. You guys sure know your stuff!

Anyways, I'd like to purchase the "uncut" Italian version of C'era Una Volta Il West but I'm not clear on the differences between the CVC "uncut" DVD (runtime 170 min) and the more recent Mondo "Special Edition" DVD.

Are these movies both uncut? Is the Mondo DVD a restored version of the CVC print?

The guy Blondie shot rolled down the bank.

Excellent work Sadhill. I wasn't sure until your reconstruction if Tuco fired the Cannon after Blondie's first or second shot. Have you seen the B/W still of Tuco with the ramrod in the Cannon. I had these two stills for many years and it wasn't till the GBU SE came out last year that it all became clear.

Where can I find the B/W still? Is it in a book?
