1  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:Help identifying song? on: May 23, 2004, 09:32:50 PM
Hi Brandon. Cheesy

I can't identify the song off-hand, but it does sound like "gunfight" or "showdown" music for a western, but just not sure what western movie it's from - unless the music was created just for the game?  Someone else here may know - my guess is is that it's from FFOD or FDM, but can't be sure.   It's really a great tune, though - like that music.  Cheesy

I saved the link to my computer, but can't listen to it - my computer doesn't recognize it -  Sad  Don't know why, but thanks for the link, Joe.  Cheesy
3  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:What is Tuco's full name!??? on: May 18, 2004, 09:31:00 PM
At the end of the film Tuco says: "Heyyy Biondooo.....Lo sa di chi sei figlio tuuuu??? sei il figlio di una grandissima putta...wauauaaaaaaa"

The last word is "puttana" and he use the vocal "a" to tie with the sound  wauauaaaaaaa

But the english for "puttana" i think is "bitch" and it doesn't match well the sound wauauaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Yes. In the English version, the word is "bitch".   I have the 2-tape VHS set (used to be my dad's, but he's since passed on 2 years ago) and have watched it and the longer version (without the cut scenes) on tv.   After Blondie shoots Tuco down from the tree and leaves on his horse, Tuco runs toward Blondie and shouts, "Hey Blondie!  You know what you are?  Just a dirty son of a", then the theme music plays just before he says the word "bitch".  lol  I kinda like that when the music cuts right in before he finishes calling Blondie an S.O.B.    I found it rather funny - fits in well in that scene, in my opinion.
4  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:DVD question on: May 18, 2004, 09:16:16 PM
My dad bought GB&U on VHS a while ago - several years ago - it's a 2-tape set and it has the English and Italian both together in the same movie.  Cheesy  I have watched it in the VCR several times and noticed that there are scenes missing - I compared the 2-tape set to the longer version that was shown on tv (forget what station - AMC, maybe?) and the one I saw on tv a few months back had the missing scenes in it.
5  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Another brief interview with Mr. Wallach on: May 18, 2004, 09:02:48 PM
Just thought I'd post this bit of news.  I saw a brief interview tonight on my local news (NBC-4, NY; I live in NJ) with Eli Wallach.  The interview had nothing to do with GB&U, but rather, his good friend and broadway actor Tony Randall that had passed on last night in his sleep.  Sorry that it is on a sad note that I mention this interview, but thought it is relevant to GB&U since Mr. Wallach was such a huge part of this movie.
6  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:Tuco Speaks! on: May 18, 2004, 08:57:18 PM
Hey, General - thanks for posting this great interview!  Mr. Wallach certainly is man of class and seems like a low-key, laid back kind of man - great actor indeed!  Kudos to Mr. Wallach.  Cheesy

Hey Austin.  Did you ever convince your girlfriend to watch GBU?  Cheesy   I got hooked on it when my dad watched it one day, several years ago.  My dad liked westerns and, even though he's passed on (Feb. '02), I always think of him when I watch GBU (of course, I think of him all the time).  I very much miss watching GBU and other movies with  him.   I have my dad to thank for getting me hooked on GBU and the FFD movies.  Cheesy
8  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:Tuco in the gunshop on: January 16, 2004, 09:23:55 PM
Hi, cj.  Cheesy

You must really know your guns.  My dad used to collect them years ago, but sold alot of them to a friend that is also a gun collector.  Thanks for the info, cigar.

That's certainly a great pic of a similar match to what Tuco put together.  It's hard to tell if it's exact, but it does look like it to me.  Great pic.   Grin

Here's another great example of someone playing the same role, but the movies aren't connected except for the character himself - The "Mad Max" movies with Mel Gibson.  Granted (not to get off-topic, but just using this as an example), the first Mad Max movie was the "lead-off" for the other two, but they don't continue as one whole story like the Star Wars trilogy.  He's plays the same character, but the movies don't quite connect with each other. You know what I mean?  So, it could be possible that there is a bit of relation between the three - GBU, FFD and FDM, though as Groggy and CG pointed out, there's not much of a connection except for the poncho that Clint wears in all three.  Cheesy

That's pretty much getting the core of Blondie's personality and character.  LOL!  Good point.
14  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:Tuco in the gunshop on: December 17, 2003, 10:40:59 PM
That's a good point.  It appears that Blondie doesn't have a taste for alcohol, but considering he likes to be cool and collective and in control, it's better that he doesn't drink.   Grin  If he was like Tuco and they both got drunk on their way to the cemetary, it would be like the blind leading the blind, trying to get there and even remembering the name of the grave -  Cheesy  Oh, now that's a funny thought, eh?
15  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:GBU SE DVD - 6th April 2004 on: December 16, 2003, 09:17:24 PM
Thanks for the info.   Grin  I'm aiming for getting a DVD player in my computer also, in case I can't get the tv (my mom, sister and brother and I share only 2 tvs - one in the den and the other in the living room - UGH!), I'll have the one in my computer to slip it into and watch.    Thanks again for the info.  Gonna go there and check it out.  When I get a job, I'll buy it for sure.
