Bonjour, je m'appelle Harmonica, j'habite dans le wild west  :D getting carried away now lol, hey does coulez de poulez mean what I think it means? I'd love to see if I could get along on that French site when you set it up, it'd help me learn French a lot better because mine aint the best atm lol

Lol. I imagine my English is not better than your French. And for "coulez poulez", I don't see what you mean. It means nothing in fact... ???
And off course you could go on the French site (when I'll make it; the forum is not soo long, one day; but the site... ::))

Not so bad, not so bad...;) The true version is "Est-ce que je peux enlever mon pantalon s'il vous plaît?", but that's really not bad. Simple, but well ;).

Hi Cigar Joe, nice to see you too  :)

Well, it's not the good topic for that but as were are talking about that...
First, I'm sorry for my long absence, but I found that this forum was not anymore what he was when I known it. We spoke about Leone, that's normal, but all the new topics were the same; when there were new topics, because I found the forum (that I like very much) was dying. So I came here a little, and finally I 've finish to not come here. I missed it, but there were studies too, movies I do, bad things in my life etc... So... I've a little bit "forgotten" fistful. But you can't forget fistful. I always love Leone, I watch yet his movies...
Then, about a French forum about Leone, I think I'm going to make one, not better than this (impossible), but when I'll have the time, because it's long, and after I have to make pub. And a French forum means French forum, and I think it'll be hard to find people who speak French so I don't know if I have to make this forum. But a website, it's sur. With Noodles-Leone, an old poster too here, we are going to make (well, I'm going in fact, I'll be the real webmaster 'cause I'll make the site) it. But he has more work than me, so it's not easy. But when all are finish, I'll come and I'll say you ;)

Sorry for the post, long, but that my return, and I have to explain this things.

Very nice to see you guys. Hello for those who remind me, and for the others too.

:)It is Morricone's work. One of the Maestro's best.
It'sa shame he didn't receive  Oscar, not even nominated.

Hello everybody; I'm back, after months...:( I'm an old poster on this site.

Well, he didn't receive Oscar because... because his name was not on the American credits; productors forget him in this version!!! Incredible!

There're not the same. Mortimer has nothing to see with Angel eyes, this bastard!!! And Blondie has nothing to see with the two others (just the clothes in fact). Well, as there are a lot of topic like this, I'm not going to answer again (not the force this evening). Maybe somebody wants???

General Discussion / Re: Dollar trilogy versus OUATIT trilogy
« on: July 31, 2005, 03:51:37 AM »
Well, with years comes an other way to work, and we can see it in Leone's style. Yesterday I watched again FOD (the last time, there is... 2 years ago maybe, so I didn't remember so well), and I thought it was worst; but I liked. My favourite is GBU because it's the first Leone I saw (6 or 7 years old), and it's the first movie I remind to have seen. But OUATITW is marvelous. I think the OUAT trilogy(in French it's "Once upon a time...the revolution", and not "IN the revolution", because there is no sense) is the better: more esthetic, more real reflexion about life, feeling, love etc etc... But GBU stays my favourite!!!  ;D ;D

General Discussion / Re: The Italian Directors
« on: July 27, 2005, 05:34:30 AM »
No, I just say that because when he was young, Leone watched a lot of western and ganster movies, and he liked it, so when he became a director, he shoted this genre of movies. But a movie about the second world war was not for him a movie he wanted to make because of his childhood. But you said that Leone only known to "work within his models". And that's why I disagree, because I think you have models when you're a boy; when you're a man and you watch a movie, it's not the same way: you learn, you can love it, but it's different. I don't know if you see what I mean, because it's hard to explain in English...  :-\

Unforgiven, Bridges of Madison county and A perfect World are for me the best. Mystic River is not bad but he doesn't play in (but Wallach do  ;D)

Hate to say it, but I think Fellini was a far more imaginative film maker than Leone. Its part proof of his genius that he never worked in genre movies, unlike Leone, who worked exclusivly within their models (the Western, the Gangster and the Sword and Sandle).

Well, I disagree with you, because before his death, Leone wanted to make a movie about the second world war, and this genre of movies is not a model, because when he was young, movies about that didn't exist. And before westerns, he shoted peplum.

Then, you say Fellini had never worked in genre movies, but he is one of the most famous director of the Italian neorealism (I believe he invented it), and he shoted a lot of neorealism movies; so he had a movie genre too.
