16  General Information / General Discussion / The Voices of Mario Brega on: February 08, 2012, 07:36:49 PM
Mario Brega was in all three "Dollars" films, and in each movie he is voiced by someone different! Does anyone know who did the voices, and if Brega spoke any English at all?
17  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: The original overdubbing on: February 08, 2012, 07:08:20 PM
I venture to guess that it was cheaper to do that way.

I am sure that is another reason, as you do not need to pay for boom mike, hidden mikes, have more excessive wiring hanging everywhere, ect.
18  Films of Sergio Leone / A Fistful of Dollars / Marianne Koch on: February 06, 2012, 12:25:47 AM
Did Marianne Koch perform her own voice for the English language version or was it supplied by someone else? Did she speak English at all?

Who voiced Ramon for this film?
20  Films of Sergio Leone / A Fistful of Dollars / Re: The beating scene on: February 06, 2012, 12:22:38 AM
That beating scene still disturbs me every time I watch it, and Track 12 that accompanies it always sends chills down my spine!
21  Films of Sergio Leone / A Fistful of Dollars / Re: Alternate opening on: February 04, 2012, 04:54:48 PM
The new scene was used before the credits so it could be used selectively. BTW, was it used during the initial airing n 1975 or 1977?
22  General Information / Trivia Games / Re: Second vehicle in GBU... on: February 03, 2012, 08:48:15 PM
There are not one, not two, but THREE cars in the film!

1. Car passing through the trees behind Blondie when he is planting the explosives under the bridge.

2. Car parked at the end of the trees, as Blondie is lifting up the heavy bags of gold.

3. Car, (or some type of motor vehicle), passing right to left just to the right of Tuco's head, when he is balancing himself on the cross.
23  General Information / General Discussion / What is your favorite "Dollars Trilogy" film? on: February 03, 2012, 08:44:00 PM
What is your favorite film of Sergio Leone's "Dollars Trilogy?"
24  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: Cutting down the film on: February 03, 2012, 08:36:09 PM
The uncut Italian version as released on DVD runs 175 min. The MGM runs 178 min for including the cave scene. (shouldn't be in imo)

The Italian version is often given in books with 180 or even 182 min. The difference may be explained by intermission music, exit music, by whatever or by whoknows.
I never thought of that.
25  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: Music Score in the Grotto Scene on: February 03, 2012, 08:35:17 PM
Personally I believe that this scene was needed to identify where the three bandits came from. Even though they meet a quick demise in the following scene, they seem to emerge from nowhere in the hotel sequence. Leone did cut this scene due to pacing issues, but I believe it was a nice addition to the extended version.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of car, my friend...
Those that appear in the background, and those that don't

You dig?

I will dig as long as you do not throw a shovel at me!

Did Sergio ever speak English?
28  General Information / Film Locations / Re: Is the tree still there? on: February 03, 2012, 04:56:18 PM

29  Films of Sergio Leone / For a Few Dollars More / Re: Complete Soundtrack on: February 03, 2012, 04:54:32 PM
I'm enjoying watching FAFDM on my new TV and only the other week I had the soundtrack on in my car. It has reminded me just how much music is missing from the measily soundtrack that is available.
I know this isn't news to any of you but I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any plans or any realistic possibility of there being an expanded release like with AFOD (Per Un Pugno Di Dollari). I never got around to buying that one but will do one day - if it ever comes down from the stupid price on Amazon.
There is absolutely sh1t loads of music from FAFDM that is unreleased. Cues and whole pieces.

I really need this expanded soundtrack!
Not to get off topic, but you NEED to get the expanded edition of Per Un Pugno Di Dollari. It is in chronological order, and Track 12 will send chills down your spine!
