1  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:the sequel to the good the bad and the ugly. on: August 03, 2004, 02:17:34 AM
eastwood's voice comes from the grave'' Watch out kid, the world is full of sons-o-bitches. As if to prove his point, eastwood's corpse rises from the grave and conquers the universe.

2  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Does a night pass? on: August 03, 2004, 02:11:34 AM
At the bridge sequence Tuco is shown loading his gun, and of course his gun is unloaded in the cemetary. Blondie says he unloaded the gun "the night before", but there was nothing to indicate a night passed between the bridge sequence and the graveyard. What gives?
3  Films of Sergio Leone / Other Films / Re: The Wild Bunch (1969) on: August 02, 2004, 11:43:53 PM
I bought the R1 version you described not two days ago... The flip disc suprised me, as I got a DVD player quite late in the game and I've been spoiled up till now with dual layer discs. Wild Bunch didn't quite live up to my expectations, but the apocalyptic ending was stunning.
4  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In The West / Why the lace tearing scene? on: August 02, 2004, 11:19:29 PM
What do you think of the scene in the barn where Harmonica tears the lace and sleeves from Jill's dress? What are Harmonica's intentions? What are Leone's? Why do you feel the scene was included? Sorry if this has been brought up before.

I'm having trouble getting used to the aiming system in this game, are you (this is being addressed to everyone) playing on xbox or ps2? Are you using the standard controller?
7  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In The West / Re:Anyone Know How To Play Harmonica? on: July 14, 2004, 09:51:01 AM
Thanks, half soldier! That's why I bought the thing!
8  Films of Sergio Leone / A Fistful of Dollars / Re:Fistful of dollars trailer on: July 14, 2004, 09:42:46 AM
End or begin it with Eastwood walking out of the smoke cloud at the end.
9  Films of Sergio Leone / Other Films / Re: La resa dei conti aka The Big Gundown (1966) on: July 14, 2004, 01:09:48 AM
I'm afraid I'm still too dense to figure out how to purchase it. Do I simply email "Franco"?
10  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:The Same Character in all Three Movies on: July 14, 2004, 12:08:31 AM
The only argument I'd have against it being the same character has already been brought up and adressed, the small issue of 100,000 dollars depleting fast enough that Eastwood would have to resort to mercenary work for much less money in fistful. Especially since he spoke of "settling down" after his planned taking in of much less in FAFDM.
11  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In The West / Re:The best movie ever made... on: July 13, 2004, 09:33:01 PM
Correct. OUATITW is perfect. It's interesting but before seeing it my point of view was probably rather close to Visitor's. It revolutionized the way I look at movies. If you want a great story, if you want to explore the deepest meaning of humanity, read a book. As far as movies go, for me OUATITW uses the medium to its fullest potential. Every frame is a work of art, every scene is perfect. So my appreciation of "deep" movies has suffered, but I find my new perspective refreshing.
12  General Information / General Discussion / Re:Favourite Hero on: July 13, 2004, 08:56:11 PM
Gotta be Harmonica for me. Every frame, Bronson is perfect, and gives off a vibe unlike any other figure in cinema.
13  Films of Sergio Leone / For a Few Dollars More / Re:Questions that scream out for an answer on: July 13, 2004, 08:11:39 PM
The two zeroes were added by the wanted man himself and were thus not legally binding.

How much was it?
15  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In America / Re:Pesci on the cutting room floor! on: July 13, 2004, 07:37:35 PM
That was Pesci in the room with the feathers? I didn't know that Pesci was in the car at all. In fact, I had always assumed that he had been behind that betrayal (the one involving the diamonds of course, not Noodles' "betrayal" of Max) in the first place, and his appearing later at the hospital was meant to signify that Max was under his thumb (and that the union guy would be soon enough).
