I wonder how much an apartment costs there. Not much I guess. I'm moving there! Now.
Coincidence they are making new apartments in the opposite side, maybe there are many people who think like you. But no more chickens walking around like in the duel scene.

I think they even changed the name to "El Oasys" in 2006. The place today is more a naturalistic-zoological park than a western town set.

You can arrive from Rodalquilar, the road of the abandoned mines where Steiger meets Coburn in Giù la Testa, but the road could be even worse. In 2004 it was worse, in 2005 they worked on it and was better, this year who knows... absolutely have to drive slowly here.
Easy to find in Google Earth visualizing the roads and moving to east from the above still (that's the location of the execution scene in Giù la Testa).

There are behind the cortijo del fraile (mission), cortijo de los genoveses (Sancho Perez jail in FFDM) and in the rape scene in Giù la Testa. Dont'know the exact english name, my dictionary says "threshing floor", so is an existing area used in the scenes. Instead it was built up for the cemetery duel and the corral-type ring at the end of OUTW.

I think you are right. At Spaghetti Western Web Board they were tryng to identify him, without success until now. He appear in some others mpvies like "Arizona Colt" (as a member of Fernando Sancho gang) and IMDB says he is "Guillermo Mendez", but looks wrong because this actor has a very long filmography from 1952 to 1985.

Winter is not the appropriate season to me, you could find snow in some place. Cemetery first, it's at 1000 meters altitude, but also La Pedriza and La Calahorra (800 m). I think the best period should be now, late august-early september: less grass and same lands colours of the movies (but you know they often used special filters to make all more yellow).
