16  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In The West / Re: Remastered Screening at BFI Southbank London on: July 21, 2009, 12:36:57 PM
Man I'm jealous.  Have fun!   Afro

Thanks, I will!  I haven't watched OUATITW in about 3 years now. I watched it about 4 or 5 times though in the space of 4 years before that though. I'm tempted to go and watch it a couple of times at the BFI, just to make up for lost time. Plus the wait is killing me.

Here's a link to the BFI website if anyone's interested: http://www.bfi.org.uk/

That 'die alone' quote is pretty cool.

My absolute favourite though from Clint is "such ingratitude, after all the times I've saved your life..."
18  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In The West / Remastered Screening at BFI Southbank London on: July 21, 2009, 02:44:20 AM
Just to let you know this is being screened from Friday 24th July for 2 weeks at the BFI on Southbank. I'm going with a couple of friends. It's also being shown at a cinema in Mayfair, and will be shown in Edinburgh at the end of August. This will be the first time I've watch a movie at the cinema that wasn't during it's first release. I always wanted to do it with GBU, but have always forgotten to go when shown.
19  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In The West / Who is the hardest Bronson? on: May 05, 2009, 05:15:39 AM
Haven't been on these boards for a while, but in light of the recently released biopic of Charles Bronson the criminal currently serving life in a British jail, I thought I'd pose the question of which of the Charles Bronson's is the hardest. I know the answer, but do you.....?

22  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In America / Re: Best morricone score? on: June 05, 2005, 03:48:51 PM
yeah i think Deborah's Theme is the greatest Morricone piece. I mean it is just amazing. I always feel like watching the whole movie when i hear it.  Roll Eyes

I think for the entire movie score OUATIW is better though.

Godfather Part 2 easy.

 My favourite performance is OUATIA.
His best is in Raging Bull.
24  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: 200,000 dollars on: May 16, 2005, 05:53:17 PM
According to Once Upon a Time in the West Commentary the budget for Fistful of Dollars was $250,000. As for the money bags I would assumer each bag contained $25,000.
25  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: Special Edition Restored Scenes on: May 16, 2005, 05:50:26 PM
I must agree, I think the confederate camp deleted scene is definetly the best addition, it so beautifully directed. Whereas some of the other deleted scenes i don't care for as much, as i don't feel they add that much to the film. Though being an avid fan of the film I had to see them, and glad i own them. Although i've only seen the SE version once and that was a few months ago so my opinion may change.

27  Films of Sergio Leone / For a Few Dollars More / How much money does the Man with no Name have? on: May 14, 2005, 05:53:46 AM
He must have quite a fortune by the end of FAFDM. Unless he lost all his money between GBU and FAFDM and had to become a bounty hunter inorder to reclaim his fortune?
28  Films of Sergio Leone / For a Few Dollars More / Re: Better Lee Van Cleef Character? on: May 14, 2005, 05:49:56 AM
This is a very hard choice...... I'm gonna have to go for the colonel seeing as I just finished watching FAFDM, and i always love that ending, the relationship between mortimer and monco is brilliant. And the way Mortimer just rides into the sunset, such a romantic ending.
