Did not really care for it, but the director's more recent film 21 grams I found really excellent and one of the best films of the year.  It starred the amazing Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro and Naomi Watts.  Amazing performances, it's strange Penn got his oscar for Mystic River and not for this film.

Penn is indeed a gifted actor. I was blown away by his performance in AT CLOSE RANGE (1986). If you've never seen it, grab a copy!

Amores Perros is an amazing masterpiece. Difficult to watch though. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is one of the best directors working today. It's one of the best films about Love and Redemption. Watch the trailer before you see the film. I love the rap song "Si Senor" by Control Manchete.
