AngelEyes, NOOOO!

"The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice..."    That's one of the most harrowing images in the gospels, when Peter gives up Jesus in Gethsamane and the cock chimes in.

Is it just my imagination or is there always a cock crowing whenever someone gets betrayed in GBU?  It's very apparent when Stevens gives up the identity of Jackson/Carson to AngelEyes at the beginning - the cock seems to crow every time Stevens spits out some more info on his ex-partner.

Schickel had some good commentary on the new GBU about the religious imagery in Leone's films.  Brought to mind that crows or cocks usually jump in and caw at some pretty crucial times during GBU and OATITW.

And what if your hand should shake a little?  And that Gringo so fast on the draw.

I'll definitely keep this in mind the next time I watch GBU.
