Ever the facetious one

Someone told me the other day that originally it was to be implied that the character of Harmonica was not supposed to be the younger brother from the flashback, but in fact the ghost of the elder brother. Apparently all references to this were dropped from the script before production began because the makers felt it would be too complicated. Personally I think it's an interesting idea, but I really can't see it working. Anyone else heard anything about this?

It's class.

This theory doesn't convince me very much.

In the other Leone movies, almost always there is a revenge from one of the caracters, and it is always someone in flesh and bones (ex: Lee Van Cleef in FFDM).

Each one for himself, and God against all.

i dont believe that about OUATITW either but in High Plains Drifter and Django the Bastard the hero is a ghost

Dave Jenkins, Calder Benson, Jim Cooper, Chuck Youngblood. They were all alive until they met you, Frank.
