2 whole pages and not a single mention yet of PAINT YOUR WAGON. Shame on y'all.

Again, another fan of HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER and UNFORGIVEN. I voted for the latter, in the end, as in HPD he is too much like a Leone character, whereas in UNFORGIVEN he is something quite different.

Big fan of TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARAH too.

I actually almost mentioned Paint Your Wagon. ;D I don't consider it to be one of his great movies, but I have always enjoyed it.

I saw Paint you Wagon at the theatre 35 years ago and never had the nerve to watch it again since.

How come no-ones mentioned Pale Rider which is up there with the likes of High Plains Drifter and Josey Wales?

I love the "Paint Your Wagon" parody in the Simpsons.  Classic.

Well, as far as Clint's best movie aside from the Dollars Trilogy, my vote must be for Unforgiven.  I love the way it is fairly slow but powerful (with the scene between Clint and Gene Hackman at the end possibly the best climax to a film ever), the fact that the actual "bad guys" are nothing special - just out-of-line cowhands, and the superb acting from messrs Clint, Hackman, Harris and Freeman.

Unforgiven, Bridges of Madison county and A perfect World are for me the best. Mystic River is not bad but he doesn't play in (but Wallach do  ;D)

My favorite Eastwoold movie other than the Leone trilogy is Kelly's Heroes.  No matter how many times I see it I still laugh at Oddball with his negative waves.  Eastwood is just one of many in this great cast.

A close second is Where Eagles Dare with Clint single-handedly taking out the entire German army while not receiving as much as a scratch.

If I'm going for third place, I'll take Two Mules for Sister Sara.  Good Morricone score and a definite chemistry between Clint and Shirley MaClaine.

I correct you sir. Clint does, unfortunately, receive several hard kicks to the abdomon in Where Eagles Dare :P

I love Where Eagles dare. It's like a Bond movie but with Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton.

Here are my 4 favorite:

Play Misty for Me
The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Bridges of Madison County
The Enforcer

and I think Pink Cadillac is a nice movie anyway.

With Eastwood movies I keep going back to Tightrope very edgy movie with Eastwood showing a very tormented side worth a second look.
and Pale Rider should be in the list

well I was going to vote but...The Beguiled is nowhere to be seen.

I never have liked the Dirty Harry films. they seem like cheap tv movies.

I guess I'll go with High Plains Drifter(though it isnt my favorite. It is the most entertaining of the lot up there.
