this article incorrectly says that the ticket agent at Cattle Corner Station was Joseph Egger. As previously discussed on a thread somewhere on these boards, the ticket agent was actually played by the same guy (I forgot his name) who played the El Paso bartender in FAFDM; and the Confederate sergeant in the camp Tuco drives up to the with the ailing Blondie in GBU (in one of the scenes in the Special Edition that had been cut from the 1967 release)

Thanks you so much JK! Very interesting indeed; now I know why the music in the end regrettably returns to Cheyenne's Theme. How can anybody be so stupid!? This guy Steven Lloyd sure did his homework and explained in detail what we were all guessing. Thanks again!

Leonardo, do you have any articles or interviews about how official the long Italian version is? Do people consider it as the DC, or is it only an alterantive version?
 I'm sure there were much discussions about this in Italy.

As I understand it the original Italian theatrical release version was never released on DVD.

I saw this film on first release in Arizona, in 1969; this played only in second-tier theaters.  I cannot remember the film title (which did not appear at the beginning) just dropping down from the top like at 3:09 minutes in your link, believe that it spun/rotated like here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne0PXeBHe60  and   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBno8SG421I

I cannot remember if there was "Cheyenne theme" as exit music or not.

The YT poster does not justify his "corrections" or cite any sources for them, so it's hard to know if he's done everything right. I do like the idea that Cheyenne's Theme was walk-out music that played over a black screen. It's great to get the full OUATITW Finale and then, when that's over, Cheyenne's Theme as well. Sounds like a win-win from my point of view; I have no idea whether that is how things actually played in U.S. theaters back in 1968.

This guy (see link) seems to suggest that the spinning title at the end is not original. He states that Cheyenne's Theme was used as the walk-out music, but that not all copies of the prints had the walk-out music. He then explains that the bowdlerized ending is the product of slamming the Finale together with the walk-out music, both of which are cut. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQAkGohR-Ac

I think that theatrical copies usually don't had this exit music.
The German theatrical version ran 165 min, and that's without exit music. The film title came on the screen different from all the versions linked here. It came kinda floating and growing from behind. But that may very well be a German invention.

Yes, that messed up music at the end has been talked about for years. It's amazing no-one fixes it. But then again, even the "experts" seem curiously ill-informed about many things that fans complain about.

Take the messed up intro music to Navajo Joe for example.

Most recently, I'm still amazed those alternative TV scenes were not included as extras on Criterion's PG&BTK. Although it sounds like Mike Siegel is taking care of that for us
