I didn't think a dumb question like this needed answering but apparently somebody on IMDB felt the need to ask it (and it has raised quite a discussion)...

No matter how cleverly you sneak up on a mirror, the reflection always looks you straight in the eye.

I got reminded of a Czech joke... which makes a bit more sense in Czech, but anyway...
It has eyes like a cat, it has ears like a cat, it has a snout like a cat, it has whiskers like a cat, it has paws like a cat, it has a tail like a cat, but it's not a cat.
It's a tomcat.

(The generic word for "cat" in Czech, "kočka", is female, so that's why it makes more sense in Czech.)

If they were not westerns, I doubt I'd like them as that. Therefore, they are.

There are two kinds of films in this world:those which stay, even when their genre is forgotten, and those which don't.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time In the West, and Duck, You Sucker! are legitimate westerns. it is not easy for me to say that about foreign-made films, but Leone's love for the American western and emulation of them comes through with sparkling crystal clear clarity. They are westerns.

William H. Bonney to Gov. Lew Wallace, March 1879.
