There is a castle visible to the left of the locomotive right before Mortimer exits the train! It the La Calahorra. The tracks and set are gone; but the castle remains.

Yes, we've discussed this before. But the genius of Leone is that in the the castle in the haze in the distance can pass for a typical western butte.

Nope...cant see a castle or a plane...a blurred bit of hillside yes, but not a castle. And no plane anywhere...there is a line like a wire from the corner of the building but thats it...any vapour trail would be above the clouds not below it.
