C'mon - no name on the rock, and no name on the grave, so Blondie didn't "lie".

I always found it rare that Blondie would have a pencil in his shirt pocket.  Or was it the first Sharpie ?

Well he still lied when Tuco told him his half of the secret and Blondie was supposed to respond with his half! However, as we see later on, when Tuco tries escaping on the horse, Tuco was a sneaking SOB as well, so Blondie was justified in not telling him the name. This way, it works out great: Tuco does all the frantic searching, while Blondie strides up there peacefully once the grave has been found! (One drawback for Blondie: he misses out on the Ecstasy of Gold)!

There are three types of people in the world, my friend: those who can add, and those who can't.
