Oh that's fine. The two of us have some common favorites among the two of us ...
I'll invite you next time I'll meet Bogdanovich, then we'll talk about an 'overrated Ford ' Smiley
Forgot LAWRENCE of course, quite flawless. Or ANNIE HALL.

QUANTUM SOLACE is the worst Bond of all. So bad it was the first and only time in my entire 007 life (37 years)
that I left the cinema angry. I got headaches from those last reels. And there's not a single scene
I remember - that says all (to me).
We would have a ball discussing Bond here on the balcony !  Too bad the summer season is
almost over..

I'll sign off anyway here & tonight I guess. Have to go back to a project. Good luck to you!

Nice list and nice to see three Leone entries in there!

Interesting that they are all from the "Once Upon a Time" Trilogy rather than the "Dollars" trilogy (I am of a similar opinion myself)

By the way, have you seen the wonderful Masters of Cinema BD of Welles' "Touch of Evil" with the 5 different versions? Spoiled for choice really! What's your take on the aspect ratio question?

yeah, I see it is the '59 version

http://explore.bfi.org.uk/sightandsoundpolls/2012/film/4ce2b6ad028a9

It received 17 votes from critics, which tied it  for spots 93-101, along with The Seventh Seal (1957), Un chien andalou (1928), Intolerance (1916), A One and a Two (1999), The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943), Touki Bouki (1973), Fear Eats the Soul (1974), and Madame De... (1953).

It received 3 votes from directors, to place 224th on the Directors Poll.

The '34 version received no votes on either poll.
