Amazon is offering the Apu trilogy on pre-order for 50% off: http://www.amazon.com/The-Apu-Trilogy-Blu-ray/dp/B00XIMHWNA?
The set won't be available until the middle of November, but what they're essentially doing is going head-to-head with B&N and their November Criterion sale. Hey, you never know, maybe this is the year B&N skips the sale. If so, you'd do well to lock in your 50% off now.

A lot of other Criterion titles are now going at 44% off.

Well, here we are in November. Where's that Criterion sale, B&N? I'm guessing it will start a week from Tuesday, but you never know, it could even start this week . . .

Twilight Time sale (thanks to T.H. for giving the tip) https://www.twilighttimemovies.com/sale/

I see that The Train BRD is available for $29.95. Should I grab it now? https://www.twilighttimemovies.com/train-the-encore-edition-blu-ray/

The Arrow BRD is available at UK Amazon for just 11.99 pounds https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00TKCDNPI/dvdbeaver-21/ref=nosim

Even after shipping to USA, the Arrow is still probably cheaper than the Twilight Time

Beaver says the Arrow and TT are just about the same disc for the movie. To compare bonus features, Beaver has the list here http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film4/blu-ray_reviews_62_/the_train_blu-ray.htm

waddaya say ... should i go for TT or Arrow?

I'd go with the Arrow. I have the TT and although it looks great I get tracking problems in the second half of the film (probably after the layer change). It may be a problem particular to my copy, but why take the chance? I don't have the (newer) Arrow, but I'd bet it's defect-free.
