The set won't be available until the middle of November, but what they're essentially doing is going head-to-head with B&N and their November Criterion sale. Hey, you never know, maybe this is the year B&N skips the sale. If so, you'd do well to lock in your 50% off now.

A lot of other Criterion titles are now going at 44% off.

I'd go with the Arrow. I have the TT and although it looks great I get tracking problems in the second half of the film (probably after the layer change). It may be a problem particular to my copy, but why take the chance? I don't have the (newer) Arrow, but I'd bet it's defect-free.
