In Fistful of Dynamite when Juan asks what Sean's
name is he says his name is John. Why does he not
just tell Juan the truth.

It was an old IRA trick to English(fy) thier names so as to keep some secret regards identity. Sergio Leone really did his homework! That man was so 8) 8) 8).....

Yeah, a mexican thief would not understand the simple word "Sean", so Sean thought it would be easier for Juan to understand "John".

I dont agree with this. How can anybody not understand someone's name?


My theory is that John was Day dreaming of his dear friend Sean(the david warbeck character) and his friend's name slipped out of his mouth. Notice he quickly nods his head as if getting his wits about him before he corrects himself and says "John".
