I was just wondering if anyone was aware who the other voice actors are in the restored cut other than Simon Prescott filling in for Lee Van Cleef?
TCM showed GBU tonight. The end titles for the Extended English-labguage version list the following voice actors Matt Keeslar, Paul Pape, Simon Prescott, David Sargent, Burton Sharp, Andre Sogliuzzo, Christopher Weeks, and Tom WynerHowever, it does not say which voice actor dubbed which character in the movie
Unfortunately, I am sure that wouldn't work for dubbing a movie, since, as you can hear on those YouTube videos, it's far from perfect, cuz they splice together words that were said at different times. eg. if he types into the computer "Let's go to the store," those five words might be taken from 5 different recordings he made at different times in his life, and in different pieces of different sentences. so besides havinga sligtly different voice for each word, it'd also not be said in the proper cadence, cuz each word is taken from a different sentence. So while it's great for Ebert and his wife that they can hear his real voice, I'm afraid it wouldn't work for dubbing movies. No, for any future work that they dub for LVC, they'd have to use voice actors.
