Just saw this yesterday.  A GREAT film.  I saw a bad Youtube copy. I saw the post above about the Blu Ray and DVD restorations. I posted my thoughts on the TCM board. I only had some minor quibbles about the plot. ( spoiler alerts).  Don Blake conveniently pops up into the plot.  After getting there though, he became the defacto detective of the movie and added a twist of suspense about who exactly he was.  Danny's character started real strong in the film and became weaker and weaker as it went along. I couldn't buy him getting drunk with all the trouble he was juggling.  Lastly,  when Jane went over that balcony, she went a looooong way over to it before falling. I think the scene could've been set up better. Overall, i rate this a solid 8 out of 10...

Oh, by the way, thats a FANTASTIC writeup that CigarJoe did about the film...

My bad. It was a good writeup, or is it write up, lol.  What was the back alley forums?

That was the Noir of the Week Forum that may or may not have been associated with the Noir City Film Festival Series that's affiliated with Eddie Muller. Now sometime before I ever knew of them there was a big dust up among the members and a group broke off from Noir City. Which was which I don't know.

Now they still have a forum called The Blackboard, but is sort of a forum running on auto pilot with no administrator. You can register and sign up for it but nobody approves you. They keep shrinking in members with two or three very active and a few that used to post missing in action, they probably passed away. There's one quirky dominating member of the three or four left, Don Malcolm that has what he calls his Noir-o-meter that determines noir-ness.  I got a hunch that this is the guy that caused the original forum to go tits up. He also has issues with Muller. I call him "The Nerd Of Noir"

They do talk about a variety of Noir and Neo Noir, new releases etc., etc., and I drop in once a week to see what's cooking. Check it out here: http://members.boardhost.com/mrvalentine/index-1.html

Here is Eddie Muller's intro when he presented the movie on TCM in 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmuYmmE_MvE&t=31s

and here is the outro from that showing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktR6BbXSQbg

Muller also showed the movie on TCM recently, as an installment of the Noir Alley series.

There are three types of people in the world, my friend: those who can add, and those who can't.

I've just come across a short video on the making of 'Too Late For Tears' on IMDb. Presumably it was made as a DVD extra in 2016. One of the presenters is Richard Duryea. I wonder if possibly he is son of Dan Duryea. It doesn't give much info. And there is another Richard Duryea on IMDb which is confusing.

There is a fab poster of Lizabeth Scott toting a gun on the video short page. To view the full page please click on below:-

It's an extra on the Flicker Alley home video release of TLFT.

Thanks. I like the 'You're going to help me get away with murder' tagline on the poster.
