If they ever re-release FDM on some special edition blu ray/dvd, I can imagine an interview with John Kirk talking about how "jarring" the flashback is.

And Indio sure doesn't know who Mortimer really is until he tells him he's Colonel Douglas Mortimer...one thinks that sister would've had a photo of Doug to show her husband, or that Doug may have visited, or been at the wedding...


And genteel gal from fine southern family and a Mexican in those days being married - I doubt it.

maybe that's why Brother Doug wasn't at the wedding -- cuz he wouldn't go see his sis marrying a Mexican Indian!
