One Blu-ray and two DVDs, with all content available in both formats

So Criterion have officially made the move to their BD and DVD combo sets

that would suck, I hate how some new releases come in these combo packs and don't even give you the option of buying just the BRD. It's just an excuse for them to charge you more for the movie than you'd otherwise pay. If they offered these combo packs as one option instead of the only option, probably very few people would buy a combo pack; people would just choose the BRD or the DVD

With the move to dual formats, Criterion is not changing its standard SRP.

A poster in the comments section covers my feelings exactly:
Quote
As a collector I love the Eureka, BFI, and Arrow dual-format editions. The DVD is a backup and, as you mentioned, a loaner for friends who don't have a Blu-ray player. As a teacher, I love the dual format because schools don't have Blu-ray players. I can watch Blus at home and bring the DVDs to my classes. Nice going!
