I've read all three novelisations... and I wasn't exactly impressed, it comes across like a bad translation sometimes. Sentenza really doesn't work in English.

I read one of the three, and actually another that was an offshoot.

I had copies of all of those books when I was a kid and I read them all.
I probably got more enjoyment out of the books that were not novelizations of the 3 Leone films - Bloody for a Dirty Dollar, A Coffin full of Dollars etc, because I wasn't constantly thinking of the films themselves.
Having said that I did find some of the "fleshing out" of certain scenes from the GBU quite interesting. For example it described Sentenza waiting for Blondie (or rather, Whitey) and Tuco to turn up at the cemetery. You don't always think of things like that with the films themselves

I just watched the Italian language version.
He is named Sentenza. Tuco calls him that in the scene already mentioned..
Half Soldier and the guy he shoots thru the pillow too.

That this was already answered, or is clear since a long time.

He is answering the question posed by the original poster who created this thread. Apparently, that person didn't realize there is an Italian language version of the film. "Sentenza" is never used in the English-language version.
