Even then, he sometimes has accidents on stage.

True that! Zürich last year (fall) and the one in 2012 (blood pressure) come to mind.

Anyway, found an excellent seat for 50 euros - similar to the one you had in Paris last year, mon ami... it's been 6 years since I last saw Morricone, looking forward to this (also, back then he didn't have Dulce Pontes with him, so I'm happy she's with him this time).

When I saw him in 2002 in Paris he came close to fall from the stage during the call-back. He grab the banister at the very last moment!

Good for you! That's like 5 or 6 times less expensive than what I paid (I don't remember). Lucky you! Anyway, for this kind of concerts, the seat makes all the difference: when in the back of the room you're experiencing something that is much closer to the disk in your living room than a live performance. When you can see the hands of the guys, that's the real thing!

it's been 6 years since I last saw Morricone, looking forward to this (also, back then he didn't have Dulce Pontes with him, so I'm happy she's with him this time).

Enjoy Wink

"... than what I paid (I don't remember)"

- according to your superb review at the time, it was 150 euros - pricey indeed! You can always count on eastern european countries for cheap prices; back in Belgrade '09 I paid 50 euros for the most expensive seat category; here are the Zagreb prices now:

Do they need some anti-STD advertising there too? Man, have you got a portfolio on which to travel! Afro

2014 was the year I got specialized in genitals:

- the  TV commercial about genital herpes you're mentioning
- an Internet ad for a brand called "Ma P'tite Culotte" (i.e. "My Panties")
- a video about rape
- a short movie that starts and almost finish by "lay your hand on my penis"
- a viral video about a date featuring the most explicit lines I have ever directed, including the famous "turkish slap"

Not exactly what I had in mind the day I told my parents I wanted to make movies  Roll Eyes

Do you show your parents these films? If you do, I hope you just send them the link and you're not sitting next to your mother when she is watching it!

The London O2 Arena concert last 5th february was fantastic. Around 4000 enthusiasts, among them many of my country fellows Italians. Same programme as the one posted above from Amsterdam was followed, and it was very emotional for me. Legend of 900, Once upon a time in America, Once Upon a Time in the West, Gabriel's Oboe...

The sensation is that at 86 years old this might be among the last concerts Ennio will conduct (I still wish him 500 more!)...he is leaving us his inheritance, never to forget.

It was a privilege to be there

Few random videos I found on YT (even if it was made clear to turn off the mobiles, not sure why people are so unpolite)

Very thank you. I liked especially this bit in the last paragraph:
Quote
The undisputed highlight of the evening is The Ecstasy of Gold, from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, which approaches like a distant stampede before its galloping rhythms soar up into a full-on choral and orchestral bombardment. Over it all, soprano Susanna Rigacci’s voice vaults through the octaves like a human theremin, and the crowd are blasted back into their seats by the sheer spine-tingling power of it. It’s such an awe-inspiring experience, the audience don’t let him go home until they’ve had it again.
The performance at Amsterdam, linked to above, bears this out. I especially liked what I heard of the DYS music (and it's a huge chunk!) that immediately precedes Ecstasy. That means he moves from my second favorite piece to my favorite--great programming. I wish I could see this live.

Haha it's been the same in each of his concerts for 15 years.
