By the way, I thought the term was "hair raising" not "hair rising"...
Yes, the term is hair-raising, at least in America. Maybe in the UK it is hair-rising

For those into statistics, here's Billboard Boxscore stats for seven of Ennio's 2014-15 concerts (all I could find); Dublin '15 was a sellout (8,575 / 8,575) with Berlin '14 being very close (11,332 / 11,339):

Got my ticket for Budapest; after great concerts in Belgrade & Zagreb, looking forward to seeing him for the third time.

Ennio did a concert two nights ago in the Arena Verona. He spoke to the audience before the concert.
Apparently, he fell the night between 2 and 3 August and broke his femur. His doctor told him it was not possible to do the concert. But he had to be there for the orchestra and chorus... so he conducted the whole concert in a wheelchair.
Online articles mention there was a nice surprise - a world premiere of "Il Forte" from the GBU, in the Leone segment of the concert.

He'll be back to Paris on may 26th and 27th 2016:
http://www.gdp.fr/fr/meeting/73635/ennio-morricone/paris/palais-des-congres-de-paris/27-05-2016/20h00
This time he'll be at Palais des Congrès (where I saw him 10 years ago). Once again, it's a (way too) huge theater. Not sure if I'm gonna go... the good places go for almost 200€.

I have to make up my mind fast. It goes on sale in 2 days. The thing is I'm already looking at buying several thousands of euros worth of gear within a couple months. So 400 bucks (me + GF) isn't welcome right now... Hard choice.

I'd love to see Morricone two days in a row. If I was you, I'd probably go for the cheapest ticket (95€) for both nights, instead of paying the same price for one night's good seat. We both saw him from close distance in the past anyway. But it looks that you have your eye on a single night. Maybe skip the girlfriend? Just kidding! (is she a fan btw?)
And what's up with those prices? Is it a Paris thing? The most expensive ticket for Frankfurt (no eastern Europe for sure) was 100 euros.
In Budapest the cheapest ticket is 32 euros. I found a nice spot in the next price category, 47 euros.

I paid $200 per seat for the show in Brooklyn last year (later canceled due to Morricone's injury). This was at a time when I was not doing anything like full-time work or making full-time money. I still would have been happy to pay the $200 for a good seat.
Of course, if I'd seen him already, maybe things would be different. But for me, seeing Morricone should be a wonderful evening that at most only happens several times in a person's life. I would certainly pay whatever it took to got in. Preferably a good seat. Then I'd bring a good vid camera and take vids and post them to YouTube so I can make everyone jealous (and so my Leone friends can enjoy 'em
)
Have fun!
