Probably the people of the spanish production side thought that was the title the movie should have carried when released.
Anyway, gave me goosebumps. The hand entering the screen at 54'' belongs to somebody wearing a serape: it must have been a master of arms (giving lessons to Eastwood how to better draw!!!) probably doubling for him on the side. That might explain why the serape shows in various shades of colours in the movie. Also interesting how Leone hadn't planned the final shot of the shooting, he thought it up on the field after having seen it didn't work well any other way.

Howard Hughes comments the outtake stuff:

http://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/Making_a_Fistful

Btw:

"A Fistful of Dollars was filmed in 11 weeks, from April to June 1964."

That's quite a lot for a film which is often called "cheap" or even a B-picture. The budget of 180.000 to 250.000 $ is also far from sparse for a film which uses only unknown actors, a crew without big names, used costumes and a few locations, which mostly were already built and only modified for the film's needs.

And more than 700 shots is not bad for a film of the 60s
