I didn't see this, I originally posted my thoughts in the off topic thread.

I recommend his book for those who haven't read it.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

Wallach movies I've seen:

The Magnificent Seven
How the West Was Won
The Lineup
Baby Doll
The Hunter
Mystic River
The Godfather Part III

Can anyone recommend any other good ones?

That's a great one. Having said that, the original title of "The Ghost" as used for the book and the UK release is way better. No idea why the changed the name for the North American version

yes, all the actors from OUATIA are still alive, except James Hayden, who played the adult Patsy, and died of a heroin overdose before the movie was released. But from Leone's Westerns, the only stars still alive are Eastwood and Cardinale. Oh, and Gabrielle Ferzetti. We discussed this a little while back, which actors from Leone Westerns are still alive (I think after Aldo Sambrell died?)
Now, we all know that Enzo Petito, who is old enough to be Wallach's grandfather, will never die.

UPDATE: I found the thread where we were discussing it - Eastwood, Cardinale, Ferzetti, Terrence Hill, Rada Rassimov, Maria Monti, and Marianne Koch are still alive ironically, it was in the "Happy Birthday Tuco" thread http://www.fistful-of-leone.com/forums/index.php?topic=11068.msg168799#msg168799

I'm gonna post some Wallach clips. Many of them have been posted here in one place or another, but it'll be nice to have them in one place:

Here is a 1973 interview on a public television show called "Day at Night," hosted by James Day featuring Eli with mutton chops!

Eli received an Honorary Academy Award at the Governors Awards November 13, 2010:

A few days before the Governors Awards show, NY Times film critic A.O. Scott, Wallach's great-nephew, did a little vid with him called "At Home with Eli Wallach"

Here is what looks like a behind-the-scenes video from the Governors Awards, with some interviews with Eli, and other movie people talking about Eli

In the De Niro's clip when he bares his teeth to laugh, that's Tuco.
