I've always liked it, partly because of Nicholson, partly because of the plot (which fizzles at the end). Antonioni never did anything as interesting afterwards.


If you have seen the previous dvd release with Jack's commentary I doubt you need this.
I like the film alot but it would have really been improved with a music score. Its a thriller after all.

BTW One of the great things about MA is he always made films about contemporary life. I dont think he ever made a period piece but I could be wrong. Come to think of it, neither did Hitchcock. Right? Is REBECCA? NOT sure

Hitchcock's Jamaica Inn and Waltzes From Vienna are period pieces.
