Apart from reading afterwards this was the first movie they used the Wilhelm scream in, and being one of the few ''Florida Ws'', this Gary Cooper - Raoul Walsh teaming is nothing to write home about. Everything seems superfluous and uninspired. Some scenes are interesting mostly cause the natural background is unusual for a W, but that's it. Most of the battle scenes - especially the final one in water - are plain bad. It's like Gary-Coop-in-a-wannabeW-meets-lowbudget-PiratesotCaribbean.

5/10

Cannot agree.

Simple, but quite effective western with good action scenes and atmosphere, which belongs to Walsh's better ones.

It was only after this film that Walsh began to decline.
