I was wondering, how, in hindsight and purely for fun, would I cast the LEONE films using ONLY the people who have worked for/with him in his WESTERNS. It goes something like this.
1. MAN WITH NO NAME.....JAMES COBURN
2. RAMON.........................CHARLES BRONSON
3. HARMONICA..................WOODY STRODE
4. CHEYENNE....................ELI WALLACH
5. TUCO............................ROD STEIGER
6. SEANSEAN....................CLINT EASTWOOD
7. FRANK...........................LEE VAN CLEFF
8. JILL...............................CLAUDIA CARDINALE
(ok, cheated on no. 8 but I don't think Marianne Koch could have filled that role).
Any advancement on above?

yeah i think they all would've worked, to some degree, but the people who actually played them were the most suited. But maybe that's cos I'm used to those people playing them. I think James Coburn could've pulled off MWNN, but how different would the films have been if he had played that role? Another interesting side point - would Clint Eastwood be as big as he is now if it wasn't for the dollars trilogy. I doubt it.

i think any of the men mentioned could have pulled off the man with no name but bronson would have been my second choice

Harmonica: So, you're not a businessman after all.
Frank: Just a man.
Harmonica: An ancient race...
