That isn't the point. Point is that Ali may well have been a boxing hero and cultural icon, but it's wrong to celebrate him as a a civil rights hero.

if you define a heroic civil rights leader as one who tried to achieve true equality for all races, to be colorblind .... I'd say MLK is a good start
