The 21st Century, by definition, began in 2001. So any film released in the year 2000 doesn't qualify. But, of course, this is so far beyond the understanding of your typical film writer that it seems pointless to even raise the issue. And then, this kind of list is beyond pointless anyway.

I hate this kind of list anyway and as I saw only number 10 and 11 I can't imagine what kind of crap are like the other 90. I posted it only because somebody here likes this kind of stuff and might have missed it.

Hey, that's actually a pretty good list. About 40% of them would actually be in my top 100. And about 30% of the top 20 would probably be in my top 20.

Yes, nothing wrong with that list. Not a single mediocre film, not one beneath 7/10. And a few I never heard of.

I have watched "only" about 2/3s of the 100, cause I don't have much time to watch films in the last years. All I watched are good or great entertainment, and some are beyond.

Some of my favourites of course still missing. Like the best German film Gegen die Wand (Fatih Akin).

Actually they explained why they started with 2000. Reading helps ...

Like the best German film Gegen die Wand (Fatih Akin).

I didn't watch it and don't intend to, but I saw other movies featuring the female lead.

The favorite film of a Turkish friend of mine was "Im Juli". I remember enjoying it, although I've never seen anything else by him.

What have other films with an actress to do with a film by Fatih Akin?

A fine comedy, but very different from Gegen die Wand. Akin has a wide spectrum.
