Well, while watching it I was expecting Crosby or Hope to come out any second, the bogus locales were reminding me of a Road to movie all the time. Ladd is very good in his tough attitude, acting like he has a broomstick up his youknowwhat all the time. But a great voice. Gail Russell's got all the glamour and beauty of a P.O. clerk, won't make anybody lose his sleep about her: why she ever got a career was a mystery to me. Fortunately Bendix is conceded little screen time. The movie is well paced though and that earns it 7/10

He's short too. But a good observation about his voice.
