"Made a year after the Bums left town" I read at IMDB. ;D Anyway at 80' it's a tight almost noir (especially in the last 10') cop movie about corruption in the force shot on a too shoestring budget. The direction is little imaginative, almost entirely shot in interiors, the photography almost tv-like. But the actors are good (Margaret Hayes looks like a butchy MILF, reminding me of Dawn Addams) and the story is fast moving.7/10

Agree, I'd say it was Noir enough for me. I'm really in tune with the crisp B&W cinematography. Too bad it was so low budget, it reminded me of Sam Fuller's Shock Corridor and The Naked Kiss in a low budget sort of way though I'd say the cinematography in this even more nor-ish it's a solid 7/10.

Darren McGavin runs around with a .45 automatic, and you can see why he was cast as Mike Hammer the next year on the TV series. Too bad they didn't keep the .45 for TV.
