I don't know how much Browne kept of Harry Grey's  last novel, but this flick has little to do with real facts about Dutch Schulz. Still this Warner production has appeal thanx to Morrow, who portrays his gangster without all those mannerisms introduced by the italo-american stars of the '70's and which are still the common fare as to portraying psychopatic criminals. Also remarkable the fact that there's not a single element which may help earn our sympathy toward this gangster. And many cops are sold to the gangster and in a speech one of them even defends his right to be  corrupted (!). 7/10
