Charade; The Pink Panther (both 1963)

I watched both Charade and The Pink Panther tonight: probably my 10th viewing of each film. I dunno...I've lost count.

Generally I watch these two back-to-back. They capture the early sixties so well - the music (courtesy of Henry Mancini), the clothes, the hairdos. The directors also did such a good job of the cinematography. All the actors were perfectly suited for their roles. Finally, I love the storylines of both of the thrillers. Each movie is well paced.

I recommend both of these stylish and suspenseful thrillers.

Charade is the best Hitchcock film that didn't actually involve Sir Alfred.

You have misread me. I meant that it is good she made the Hitchcockian Charade because she never worked with AH. We would probably not have seen Audrey in such a picture otherwise. It is a good thing.
