Either way you want his cameo in that scene and that scene in the movie. Unless you're a dickfor.

Or unless you have an unerring sense for narrative balance.

Bradley is also the saloonkeeper in El Paso in FAFDM, who tells Angel Eyes that if the hunchback didn't shoot him, "he must have had a very important reason ..."

5.0 out of 5 stars
Finally the TRUE version of this magnificent film!
ByJohn Bruneon November 9, 2017
Format: Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
Finally the TRUE version of this magnificent film. The extended cut SUCKS and the dubbing is terrible! This shorter and more concise version is the better way to experience Leone's classic. Grain is intact and the Bluray retains that wonderful roughshod feel and ambience this movie is so famous for.

This review from an Amazon customer pretty much says it all.

I'm sorry Bruce, but the word "true" is wrong. As I explained before, the shorter cut on the Kino disc is not Leone's. I myself prefer the shorter international cut as released in 1967, but that's not what Kino put on their disc. Since this is the Sergio Leone web forum, I feel it's necessary to make sure the facts are known. If you are happy with your Kino disc, that's fine, but please stop using the words "definitive" and "true" when describing it. It could have been, but Kino blew it.

Is the hotel scene in the 180 minute version "correct" and same as laser disc?

What's your definition of "big bucks"? At this time eBay has the 1990 MGM LD for as low as $19 shipped. I've seen it sell for less (around $10) in the past.

It's a dime a dozen issue with numerous copies available on eBay all the time. It is also included, along with FOD and FAFDM, in the 1993 Clint Eastwood Trilogy LD Boxset that can be found for cheap as well.

Nearly 30 years after its release it is still the closest thing to the International Cut.

Leone laments in Simsolo's book that 20 minutes were cut out of the US version in order to sell more popcorn.

I think I'll stay with that in future discussions which version is preferable. But actually the 161 min version works very well, unlike many other cut versions of famous films.

FWIW some copies have sold for 80 - 90 dollars!

That's the 1998 LD, which is essentially the same as the DVD released that same year, which presents the "amalgamation cut" that Jordan Krug talked about in an earlier post. "Essentially" because, for some reason, this LD includes the bit where Blondie holsters his pistol after he guns down the 3 bounty hunters who capture Tuco, whereas the DVD mysteriously does not. The 98 LD apparently sells for more because it is much less common than the 1990 LD.
