In fact, the film was not originally to be called The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The title I due magnifici straccioni (The Two Magnificent Tramps) was changed just before shooting began. Vincenzoni dreamed up the new title (literally) and [Leone] loved it.

I'm a technical idiot, but I need to ask: is 4KUHD work with a BluRay player? May be irrelevant, I'm using a 52-inch HDTV from 2008.
The upcoming release will include a 4K UHD and a bluray of the International/US theatrical cut. Kino dropped the Extended Edition altogether, which I think is a good move.
I didn't realise the Extended version was completely dropped.
