I knew this was gonna be like some of the other comedic tone spags that i purchased and regretted, but gave it a shot anyway. I suffered all the way up to the scene where the trained pulled into the station and the gang member had a TELEPHONE as a ear .  I shut it down after that.

Yea think of it with The Wild Wild West in mind, Sabata kind of works if you are familiar with the tongue and cheek West of James West and Artemus Gordon.

Then you missed a fantastic ending with virtuosic directed action scenes, but of course it is way over the top.

I've finally managed to find the italian dvd and gave it a 3d watch. Hadn't noticed before that Milian (the only actor dubbing himself) is talking the italian-roman he learned over here. Corbucci, being roman himself, put up with his tipically roman expressions although told in italian (even "mortacci tua") with a funny effect. But Rey doing the preacher (in how many westerns did he play that part?) just can't be put up with if not when Milian bring him back to earth with street wisdom (alas, too few times). Iris Berben is eye-candy but I go with older Ralli. I didn't remember Schubert was there. 7/10 Curiously the italian original trailer all based on colourized stills, makes use of the Five Men Army's theme!

I just found a used copy of Nori Corbucci?s book on her husband ?Il regista del mio cuore?. I?ve been searching for a copy for years.

Unfortunately my knowledge of Italian is based on piecing together my knowledge of other Romance languages and then trying to figure out what?s being said. So I?ll be able to somewhat stumble through, but I wouldn?t rely on me for any kind of translation.
