I'd kill for a location like that Silenzio. For you to pass up such an oppertunity just because of a few hours drive is utterly ridiculous (That's if you want to make a short film I mean).

It's not me who would pass it up for a three-hour drive. It's my friend with the camera.

Nice picture, by the way, Sanjuro.  Cheesy

Now I need an exciting story.

Hey Silenzio, how far are you from Murray Idaho there is a great quasi ghostown for you to check out. I used to drive through there on a short cut on my way to Wallace & Coeur D' Alene.

If you do go to Sprague Pole Saloon.   Cool

Virginia city is a great place I will be back there in November in my duster hat ect, also on the way to Vegas from LA is a neat little ghost town on Calico an old mining town that is a living museum its a cracking day out and we always stop for a while when passing.
its a dusty old place and can be windy, so if you close your eyes and its quite its like the town at the start of GBU.

A quasi ghost town  is a town that still has a few residents, Murray Idaho, still  has the Sprauge Pole Saloon/Museum and a few occupied houses in the center of an all but deserted town.

A true ghost town in the classic sence would be completely deserted.

Murray ID and Rhyolitte NV would make a great sets.

The ghost town in Terlingua Texas would definatly fit that bill!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=nvySKXNWBng&feature=related

They have a great looking cemetery less than a quater mile from the town and the saloon (starlight theatre) has recently been turned into a one screen movie theatre, at night at least. It still serves drinks during the daylight hours.

It used to be a mining town but by the turn of the century whatever the ground was giving the folks it wasn't putting out anymore so everybody left. Then 50 years later some people started settling back in.

Terlingua has a lot of potential.

I like this thread, good work.
