You sure?
Furthermore, the second book on Leone written by an Italian and published in Italy was De Fornari's book in 1977 ("Sergio Leone", Moizzi Ed.);
I have an German edition from 1984. It was my first book about the Sergio, and actually I had hoped for more. The chapters about the films were not that interesting. But some of the other stuff (interviews etc.) was ok. Unlike Frayling's books I rarely grabbed it from the shelf in the last 20 years.Of course this is a new edition, and maybe he changed a lot since then, but maybe this book is still not that "tutto".
Have you read that book?
Yes, we were in Arizona, looking for a place to build the exterior of the posada, the place in the desert where Claudia Cardinale and Paolo Stoppa arrive. In the end, we found a good place with a small building, a hut, on it. We called to see whether anyone was at home, and we met the owner. You won’t believe this, but when we arrived he was making pasta — and doing it by the book. ‘First I have to finish this, and then we can talk.’ He was measuring fettucine with a ruler! Anyway, Sergio said to him, ‘You don’t do it like that, you do it like this’ — and Sergio taught this man how to make Italian pasta! The man simply couldn’t believe it... a pasta lesson in the Arizona desert!
