Hey there, I'm currently doing an assignment on the audiovisual contract of The Good the Bad and the Ugly. I have to start out with an appraisal on a work written by the director or sound designer on "their particular aesthetic in filmaking". I've done a good deal of searching but can't find anything written by Leone himself. I would really appreciate if anyone out there could let me know where I might find some words from the man.

Any suggestions at all would be great - I'm really stumped! Huh

I have got an interview at home with Leone, but it's in Dutch.  If you have someone to translate, or if you understand Dutch Grin I could e-mail to you.

In Microsoft Cinemania '95 they give a quote from Leone which is something like this (I have to check out the precise words):
The cowboy picture has got lost in psychology.  In the West there were violent, uncomplicated people, and it's this power and simpliness I want to represent in my films...
something like this.
