Returning after several years of absence to say please, goodness no. The story isn't substantial enough to stretch into a series for one thing, and more importantly I can't see why you'd want to improve what was a great film in the first place. Remakes should be reserved for things that were bad or lacking that had the potential to be something better. And Tarantino...

Not a remake. A reimagining, just using the basic premise of two sides in a war being played by the enterprising guy in the middle. Obviously, to make a TV out of it you have to invent some additional episodes. Sounds like it has a lot of promise.

I heard Disney bought the rights, and is casting a transsexual handicapped dwarf of color to play the lead role.

Ask Marlo Thomas how her "It Happened One Christmas" (re-make of "It's a Wonderful Life" with her as the star/hero) worked out.....
