Only the dye job? Nothing works here. It's 1956 and she's given the Elvis treatment, only worse: from the neck up. And the hair-do doesn't work, only the dye. And she's immobile (rare. Standing still, not able to move). I wonder even if she was dubbed, though I doubt it as this is a spoken version of the song. anyway, I'm curious to watch the rest of the movie, as it is being hailed as good noir. Did you see it?

I've never seen the rest of the film either.

I quite like that movie (The Houston Story). I wrote a review of it some time ago, here: http://rftbotb.blogspot.com/2016/04/the-houston-story-1956.html (I should try and find the time to revive it again).
