At first I thought this was a late '50s movie, but then Calamity Jane's hairstyle and make-up (which both never get messed up even after being dragged for miles as prisoner by Indians) made realize we were in the '60s. Unfortunately this remake was stale even 10 years before: the characters, the dialogues, the Indians played by Oakland and Silva. So what's left to save? The first scenes in the city, the Arizona landscapes, the photography, the two girls (especially Abby Dalton whom, at first, I thought was Anita Mann. They look singularly alike, same haircut - and, of course, I like them both) and the suicide charges of the oddly white-dressed Indians (a hommage to the teutonic knights in Nevsky?). 5/10
