There are 23 tracks on the album, and the CD itself is almost filled to the brim with musical material. The album opens with three tracks from "The Mission" (1986) by Roland Joffe, and these are the most well-known and appreciated excerpts from the Oscar-nominated track. The next six tracks are reserved for music from Sergio Leone's films (there are three more), thanks to which the Italian composer gained international fame. Anyway, just take a look at the tracklist and see for yourself that this is the top of the list from Maestro's collaboration with the director of "The Dollar Trilogy". Morricone's music for another Italian filmmaker and friend - Giuseppe Tornatore - for "Cinema Paradiso" could not be missing either. Quentin Tarantino is also represented on this compilation - we are of course talking about one of the composer's greatest successes of recent years and his music to "The Hateful Eight" (the longest track on the album comes from this film). The album ends with a very dignified and calm composition from Brian de Palma's "The Untouchables" (it was the third nomination for the American Film Academy award for the Italian artist).

It's time for a conclusion. It is obvious that such a rich output of Ennio Morricone could not fit on one modest CD. However, what is finally included in the final product gives some idea of the 60-years of the Maestro's oeuvre and is in a way an indication of what is best in the music of the hero of this review. It should be mentioned that the choice of these particular pieces was made by the composer himself, which in most cases perfectly meets the expectations of the listeners. Thus, the album "60" can be recommended not only to the greatest enthusiasts but also to those who want to start their adventure with Ennio Morricone's music.
