I really like the lesser-known James Bond theme song "007."

Here's a snippet so you know what I'm talking about.

Yes it is a good Barry theme. It crops up through the Connery era a few times, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever spring to mind.

The Third Man - If you talk about film music, Anton Karas's zither is it. How can you forget this melody and how can you separate the melody from the film.

Ascenseur Pour L'echafaud (Elevator to the Gallows) - Miles Davis's miraculous work. It was revolutionary and ingenious as a film music.

Plein Soleil (Purple Noon) - It's a haunting requiem for a man who killed his own youth.

Oh God I love The Third Man theme!

I really like the way the happy upbeat Zither music contrasts to the dark gloomy images of Vienna's underworld.

I think GBU and OUATITW definitely (both Jill and Harmonica). And Mark Knopfler's Local Hero Theme.

Most Leone scores qualify, especially GBU and OUATITW (any of the main character themes).  I'm kind of surprised no one has said Elmer Bernstein's score for The Magnficent Seven.  You hear that theme, and you instantly know what you're listening to.  Just gets the blood flowing just thinking about it!  Grin

That's right... I forgot about that one.
