I have a 50 track version of GBU. This includes the Grotto,  Angel eyes at the fort and the 'golden haired angel' bit. Apologies if there are more recent posts about this. I did a search and this was the most relevant one i found.

Is it sourced from the DVD soundtrack, then?

A friend sent it to me so not sure of the source but there are no sound effects or dialogue  like one i have from FAFDM. There are two tracks of the main title and one has the gunshots on it. Also has the two versions of The Trio, and the drumbeat at the end while Tuco is hanging which i had always wanted.

I have that 50-track version as well.  And a 39-track version.  What I actually listen to is my custom compliation of parts of the 21 -and 39 track versions.  For the 21 track version, I have "Il Buono Il Brutto Il Cattivo  (Italy) Apr. 1, 2001
GDM 7001".  I used the computer to truncate the "middle" of "The Trio" to match the film, and yes, it has chimes.  The Story of a Soldier on it it quite understandible, better than on the "original" soundtrack.  My custom one has "golden haired angel", maybe I took that from 39-track version, don't remember.  "The Final PArtnership" (Tuco on the cross, Blondie riding away) came from 39 track version as well.  I don't have the 2004 U.S. expanded CD, read that the 2001
GDM 7001 was better, main difference was a different Story of a Soldier.

I have a 50 and 51 track versions. The 51 just has the tracks listed as track 1, 2 etc. I only recently obtained them so i need to compare and see exactly how they differ. The Tuco on the cross one is called motifs and drumbeat and is only on my 50 track one. This has remixes of Ecstasy of Gold and the main theme and three versions of  Story of a Soldier. One is an extended version starting and finishing with instrumental (with electric guitar) with vocal in the middle. The Trio has the chimes in also.

One version I have has the GBU title track two ways: one as on the official CDs, and one with the gunshots/cannon shots in it as in the film itself.
